Why Yoga Teacher Training in Rishikesh, India?
In the northern Indian state of Uttrakhand, Rishikesh is located next to the Ganges River in the foothills of the Himalayas. It is well known as India's "Yoga Capital of the World" and the most revered river in the Ganges. This city, which is surrounded by hills and a forest, is thought of as a vegetarian and alcohol-free community. It is recognized as one of the holiest places and is known as a pilgrimage site. Since ancient times, the sages and saints have come to Rishikesh to meditate in pursuit of enlightenment.
Rishikesh, the birthplace of yoga and meditation, draws a lot of spiritual seekers. For transcendental meditation, the Beatles traveled to Rishikesh in 1968 and stayed at the Chaurasi Kutiya Ashram for this reason. Shrine bells ring in the evening when a strange breeze blows through the valley. In Rishikesh, one may engage in a plethora of activities such as touring the Beatles ashram, white water rafting, jungle safaris, camping, ayurvedic cooking and massage, trekking, waterfalls, temple and ashram visits, and, of course, a dip in the Ganges, which is believed to purify one entirely.
